Our Monthly Meetings
We hold regular monthly meetings on the second Saturday of every month at the Alkham Village Hall were we have talks from speaker’s from all around the UK, and accessional speekers join us via zoom to give talks from around the globe

We are fortunate enough to have our own dark site with an observatory and selection of telescopes.
We hold regular observing meetings and social events at the site, and our members often bring their own telescopes to take advantage of the dark skies.

As a beginner in the world of astronomy I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a member of SEKAS. Everyone has been extremely welcoming and encouraging, and I’ve enjoyed joining other SEKAS members on trips to The Astronomical Festival in London, and to the Science Festival at Herstmonceux.
SEKAS also has its own dark sky site which is available to members. This is an amazing luxury to have, and the opportunity to observe with others is brilliant.
