I’ve been a member of SEKAS for the past few years and have really enjoyed being a member. The members are very welcoming & knowledgeable. I am very happy being a member of SEKAS, because it gets me out of the house and it helps me socialise with people who share the same hobby as me.

Martin Foad

Visual Astronomer & Astro Sketcher

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a member of SEKAS. Everyone has been extremely welcoming and encouraging, and I’ve enjoyed joining other SEKAS members on trips to The Astronomical Festival in London, and to the Science Festival at Herstmonceux.

SEKAS also has its own dark sky site which is available to members. This is an amazing luxury to have, and the opportunity to observe with others is brilliant.

SEKAS is a great community to be part of.

Knowledge is willingly shared to improve existing skills or begin an astronomical adventure to the stars.

Trips to Greenwich Observatory, Herstmonceux Science Centre and Kelling Heath are all regulars on the calendar as are various astronomical events viewed from our dark site.
